I try and live by a saying “there is nothing to worry about until there is something to worry about”. Just had this conversation with a friend today so I found it fitting to share with you my experience. So as many of you k ow I recently had knee surgery and I was feeling as though it didn’t go well. Was still having a lot of pain, unable to do things that I felt I should be able to do at this point. When people asked how’s the knee feel I’d say, bad! But I kept repeating in my head there’s nothing to worry about until there is. So had my 5 week follow up today and Doc said, looks good. He was happy with everything I was explaining to him. He actually said if you came in here doing cartwheels telling me you were 100% I’d call you a liar.
Point of this long winded story is, even though sometimes things just don’t go your way, can’t see the trees through the Forrest. There’s nothing to worry about until there is something to worry about.
Hope this helps anyone out there struggling with some shit, either physically or emotionally or both.
That is all, carry on

I’m not religious but I agree with giving no strength or power to worry. I look at it this way, if I cannot have control or the ability to move the outcome why worry. I do believe in god just not overly religious

Jujitsu master, powerlifter, BBing stud and life philosopher to boot. I love it. All kinda interconnected, huh? No surprise there’s so much wisdom on this board.

I’m agnostic but feel
This way I was atheist for a long time but as time goes by I just realize I have no idea really

Yep I have often wish I could believe but my brain just doesn’t allow it logically there are too many different religions for me to sit here and pick one and says it’s correct. I look at it like being a fan of sports team. Where you are born and who you are born too will generally dictate the out come of who you cheer for

I tell this to my new techs all the time. The anxiety they get looking at a call a day or two ahead on their schedule and they freak out. I tell them we will worry about it when we get there and see what’s going on, does us no good overthinking it now. You know you’re an experienced HVAC tech when instead of thinking about all the possibilities you can run into when driving to your next call, you’re thinking about where you want to go fishing on the weekend haha.

Worrying gets you nothing just more stress. I’m more of the yolo type if something goes wrong then it does if not then we keep rolling. Either way life goes on.
