Very disappointing. I very well could be cutting tbol out due to poor lipids. My doc is threatening statins if I don’t get it under control.

(Re)Addressing diet very close too.

If i would have seen this 20 mins ago. I was at the playground talking to my cardiologist while our kids were playing. Diet is going to take awhile to see any noticeable changes. What dosage is your tbol at?

Of course it might be an anomaly…or my a1c jumped too so I’m thinking crap i stuff in my cake hole might be the culprit.

Well. Shit. I believe the best and most sound option here is to step back from all changes made until next labs. Tbol. GH. Etc. I know some changes shouldn’t reflect what’s happening here, but we don’t have a whole lot of options here. Wait to see what labs look like “clean” and then add things in one at a time.

Now that is the long safe route. While tbol dose is low, that would seem to fit the lipid issues. You have said in the past orals seems to wreak havoc. Could possibly fit kidney strain as well.

Could ask for increased dose of Telmisartan.

Just throwing out options.

I’ve been sitting here cogitating it… you are absolutely spot on. The tbol raised my lipids before. I’m going to cut that out immediately. Tbol might be like anavar and dbol… my body just can’t tolerate it.

I will probably leave in gh.

Doing some more homework

I try and take hgh aprox 3:30 every day… after work and homework time. We eat about 5:30-6

Ok yeah just making sure I know it can affect blood sugar levels if taken same time as any carbs unless using insulin as well

How dehydrated do you think you was? Based on your numbers (BUN 26) it looks like you’re pretty dehydrated. This could make your hemoglobin show higher than it is and make your kidneys look like they arent doing as well as they are on your Crea and BUN.

Also, if you take creatine it can make your Crea read higher than it actually is.

If you agree that you was pretty dehydrated i would encourage you to repeat the labs ans drink half a gallon of water prior to.

What is your daily water intake like?

Looking forward to your response. I’m kinda a labs nerd

You’re not wrong…

I usually get 1-1 1/2 gallons a day due to beetes meds and some prior renal scares.

On that particular lab morning (7am)…i only got 1/2 liter water in me… stopped drinking water at about 7pm the night before.

You probably hit the nail on the head… I wasn’t anywhere near hydrated enough.

I got more labs (bout 8 weeks) coming up. I’ve got to get the ship turned around or doc is going to put me on statins and other poison.

No creatine or any other powder supplements. Just 2 scoops of isolate a day.

When you get your next labs why dont you see if doc will order a "Cystatin c". It is MUCH more accurate for kidney function than crea, bun and gfr. That way you get an idea of your true renal function. If your doc wont order it (I dont see why he/she would say no when it is medically proven that its a more accurate measurement of renal function) then you could get it your self from https://www.privatemdlabs.com/ assuming you arent in one of the few states that doesnt legally allow us to buy our own blood work. Also, assuming you are in the USA.

Then of course hit the water prior to your lab work as well.

We must also consider that a high protein diet can elevate Bun/Crea as well which is all the more reason to get a “Cystatin c”.

Also, the first time I looked at your labs I was on my phone and I missed the fact that your vit D is low. This can actually have a negative impact on your lipid profile. Ill link a study to validate what I am saying. Id take 5k iu a day of gel tabs to get that raised up.

I’ve seen this talked about so many places but never done the leg work to understand, what does timing of food have to do with a SubQ med? I’m not being an ass, I honestly don’t know the correlation.

@Dirtnasty @Neuro

I just read this whole thing…twice…sans the child/adolescent part.

If I’ve already got insulin resistance and my body produces insulin (it just doesn’t work right) how would this effect me?

My doc explained my type 2 very simple… (paraphrasing from memory) insulin shuttles the sugar to parts of your body for functional use…my body produces insulin… it just doesn’t help the sugars get to where they need to be. My meds help “open up the gates” so the sugar can be utilized properly, rather than floating around in my bloodstream wreaking havoc.

Is my dosing time correct? About 1-2 hours after food intake and 2 hours before. Other than sleeping, That’s about the longest I go without food in an average day.

I didn’t get a chance to dig in too deep and didn’t retain a whole lot. I’m gathering GH therapy increases insulin resistance and cause an elevation in blood sugar.

GH therapy in children is readily associated with type 2 diabetes from what I read.

As far as timing I don’t know. Someone with a deeper understanding of GH will have to chime in.

As always, I could have misread that and welcome input from anyone who knows more than myself!
