Kidneys should still function the same, or at least that’s what we’re taught. There’s a lot aboit lab work that has always seemed too generic at times, but with kidneys I’m pretty age and unfortunately race play a more significant role in nephron health than weight.

I always hear large body builders say ther creatinine is elevated just because they’re big I always wondered if that was BS or not lol

Maybe the stress of lifting etc for someone that big. I’ve seen 5-600lb patients with normal kidney function. So I would guess it’s not the weight but the gear and strenuous exercise.

Generic lab levels DEFINITELY were not designed for outliers in human performance.

I mean it’s only slightly elevated and I go hard when I lift so it’s too be expected

I mean it really obese it could be good for awhile but eventually it catches up

I got sent to a kidney specialist once he said pretty much those levels on the reports are for old ladies not guys who train. You’re kidneys are fine. He did more testing to be sure but he was right

It’s always weird when we have extremely fit patients Bc their labs are always “out of Range” on something random.

On a side note took care of a 77year cyclist who was still racing in nationals… there’s hope for you and @Poppy

Mine was over 10,000 that time Dutch fd up all my primo. Scary shit.
I would have thought you’d be well over 5,000 at a gram per week. Like I said I was over 10,000. I think pharma Q is under dosed
