I’ve been using bigswoles for a few weeks and it works great also seals up the hole to stop any oils from coming back out

Ok, so got another question, is iodine the absolute best for this? I would spend the extra money to be absolutely sure it’s clean.

Also. What do you do after you remove the needle?I read wipe it down… New swab again? Band-Aids?

Iodine isn’t necessary. Alcohol wipes are perfectly sufficient as long as you let it dry.

I usually don’t do anything unless it starts bleeding, I’ll keep an unopened alcohol wipe on hand and use that. Hold a little pressure and massage the area.

Yup. I inject myself at least three times per day right now and just use alcohol swabs. Never had an issue.

I’ve been pinning for over 25+ years. I’ve never had a abscess or any issues besides poor needle control (a lot of PIP is because of this) nor have I ever exasperated… ever. Be clean (wash your hands before) clean environment (don’t pin is a porta John) follow @NeuroRN guidelines. You’ll be fine.
