Wire app has sold out to US company

Just an fyi guys wire sold out and they didn’t notify anyone. Moved servers to US and started pushing updates.

I had an issue on one of the updates where my keyboard was acting up. Then another update back to back fixed it. Not sure what’s going on but a lot of people in industry are pissed about it.

Move to threema for secure messages.

You think any security issues will be compromised with the move?

Definitely. Back in June wire refused to comment if the law in Germany changed if they would provide a backdoor for the govt.

Short summary…Delete Wire and switch to threema??

Delete wire and use wickr or threema. Threema is better security wise and laws in Switzerland. But they lack the auto delete feature or timer that wickr has.
