7 months past double meniscus repair (same knee). On a fat loss cycle since September…

We have a real crappy treadmill… it works fine but doesn’t have elevation adjustments.

I have been doing 10-15 fasted cardio a couple times a week upon waking and various times throughout the day a couple times a week. I’m seeing progress. I usually do 30 seconds @ 3.3mph…1 minute @ 2.8…a hi/lo hiit type.

Question is about knees… doing the above flat is no problem on knees.

On occasion I will put a 2x10 laid flat under the front for a slight elevation. It’s small but noticeable.

I do not have knee pain with elevation but is it something that could lead to damage?

I’m a cheapskate!

Wifey wanted one years ago. I told her we’ll buy a cheapo and if she continues to use it and breaks it we’ll buy a good one. Well she used about 4 weeks…as I suspected.

Now I’m trying to break it hahaha. It’s holding strong so far.

I use a treadmill with no motor so my posterior chain has no choice but to fire. It’s called a true form. Stupid expensive I would not recommend getting one

Definitely am in the camp to almost always crank up the incline whenever using the treadmill and stick to a brisk walk (3.0-3.4 mph or lower if you can’t maintain it for at least 20-30 minutes). Will almost double the calories burned when compared to flat.

Now that it’s nice out I’ve been doing more long outdoor walks. Takes more time to equal the same amount of calories but much more enjoyable at least for me to be outside. When outside I usually shoot for 3-4 miles at a brisk pace. Just picked up an adjustable weighted vest that can go up to 60 lbs by adding little sandbag inserts. Doing this to increase calorie use as I don’t like to do jogs given extended runs hinders my leg recovery so that they wouldn’t be as fresh for heavy lifts.
