Low dose Deca for next cycle

As I’m rapping up my current cycle I’m thinking I need a little more mass. So I’m currently thinking on using Deca again (roughly 20 weeks from now). Last time I used it (2 years ago) I made some great gains w/ 300mg every 3rd day for 12 weeks. Kept calories close to 2000 above maintenance during that cycle and all was well until I really started to hate eating towards the end and ate like shit to keep calories up. So my thoughts were how low can I run Deca and still have good results. Can this be done with keeping calories say with 1000 over maintenance? Probably will run Test E at 600mg for the simple reason I don’t need an AI at this dose.
Any thoughts?

Nandrolone is one that can be run for long periods of time. You obviously won’t see the same mass from eating 1000 cals over Maintnence as you would 2000. BUT. only one way to find out how you individually will respond to that setup… do it.

2k above maintenance! Don’t blame you…eating gets to be a 2nd job!

I agree with @NeuroRN

Lower doses done for longer periods of time seems to be way less harsh on the body. I don’t know this but I’m of the opinion that it’s possible to keep your muscle mass and strength (age adjusted) forever by going low and slow.

Of course regular labs and sensible training/diet…age adjusted are a must.

Might be interesting to see how it treats you with a sensible (not crazy caloric) intake. Please keep us posted on which way you go.

One more thing…I’m also of the opinion that continual excessive eating on or off cycle can lead to some serious nasties also.

I believe (me included decades ago) that as men, we get caught up in the bigger faster stronger mentality…RIGHT NOW. We see the behemoths in mags on tv on internet and toss all caution to the wind.

In reality most of those dudes have put in lots and lots of hard work and/or are ingesting large amounts of peds and/or have great genetics. There’s a big difference in making a living off of your physique/strength and being a common meathead.

Have to remember one thing. Those super meatheads that do this for a living and ingest incredible amounts of calories and compounds pay a price. Not all but many end up with life threatening complications way too early in life. Yes it would be great to look like MR Olympia. But I think a lot of them also suffer from a lot of depression when they reach the point in their life where they cannot maintain such a look anymore and have to be happy with a normal meathead look. Have a good friend who was part of the James Gang in WWF and we talk about some of. The old time bad asses from back in the day and their struggles. He has had many of his own. Probably had every joint in his body operated on. His body is full of metal and his heart health is very poor. Have to learn to be happy with average. And remember our average is way above the normal avg. i am by no means as study as many guys here yet most construction sites I am on I am the strongest looking guy and definitely the studliest dad at my kids school. And they love me for it. Can be happy with that. Poppy has to be the studliest grandpa in his kids grand kids lives. That’s impressive and cool enough!!!

I’ve never ran decca but I have tan tren and got to eating 5500 calories a day and know the hassle. I would say start low and see how it goes. Worse case scenario you go back to what you did last time but start lower and titrate calories and anabolics from there

Appreciate the feedback. I’ll try to dial in a reasonable dose (300-400 a week?) and mostly like play around with the calories. Definitely not going to force feed again only to end up with unnecessary and avoidable fat.

The benefits may be the lack of typical sides, and the ability to run for a very long time.
I’m only TRT dosing so a little extra total anabolics in the system is a benefit in itself with gains, recovery, ect.

I would love to say I notice a huge difference with (my joints, strength, recover, ect.) but I’m fucking past my best days and these helpers just keep me in my sport of choice rather than another victim of attrition.

Hell less than a year ago I was in a straight brace with a torn patella and now I’m back to competition with my box’s best a few days a week.

I look at it this way if I can move the needle just a little every day instead of a lot for weeks at a time…the sum of my effort will be substantially greater long term.

I’m patient like that, but I’m learning like the rest of us now in just my second year of this journey.
Or maybe I just err on the side of caution…idk
