Help - Wife's TRT - Cream to Injection

My wife has been on a TRT and Progesterone regiment for awhile and feels so much better. Bit the price is jist ridiculous. I was curious if anyone had any idea on how we could get her off of daily cream to a weekly Injection from our source here.

I believe she takes 7.5mg daily of her cream. Would that mean she could take roughly 50mg a week of test prop since the full life is around 6 days? We could really use some good insight here from a professional because when it comes to women and the release timing quantities I’m lost.

Honestly trt I would
Keep in hand if professional when all possible

With the economy and us opening a new gym it’s getting to the point where we cant afford $300 every 2 months. Where as if she bought a $40 vial that could last her 6 months or whatever the math would be based off the info I can find.

I don’t think test prop would be advisable if she only injected once per week. Should look at test cyp if anything. TRT through a clinic is expensive so I appreciate that but keep in mind there are more risks doing it on your own which I assume you are aware of.

Most definitely agree and understand the risk. I was just trying to factor in how much tests she was getting per week and trying to balance it out. I need to very though what the unit measurement is for her cream before anything else.

I verified she does take 7g of cream a day. So, based off this chart it looks like she could get away with 100mg a week of Enth. Thoughts

It’s not a true conversion from 7mg cream to 7 mg test. This will be a complex undertaking, and unfortunately will most likely need to be trial and error. Not to mention if will you be dropping progesterone it adds another kink in the plan.

Unfortunately in my limited experience women respond very uniquely to inject test. As in it varies widely person to person.

I would start lower than 50mg even though that’s the “equivalent” to her cream. There’s less test bio-availability in the cream and more room for dosage variation.

This is not a simple switch like it is for me. In my experience test seems to build higher in some women.

The one thing I would say for certain is you will need labs very frequently to make sure you aren’t skyrocketing her test.

50 is a common dose for women. Some need much less, my wife for example had test in the 300’s of 30mg a week. So 50 would have been insane.

I want to be clear and say this could be an absolute cluster trying to manage yourself. Womens bodies can respond so many different ways. Labs labs labs labs will be the only way to know for sure.

I hope it’s smooth sailing and an easy transition. Hope for the best, mentally prepare for your wife’s hormones to run a little haywire for a bit. 😂😂

Definitely lots of different factors. Have you tried other docs? Sometimes an OBGYN or even primary doc may be able to offer treatment that would be covered by insurance vs paying a ton through a trt clinic. May take time though I.e. trying multiple doctors
