Same here. My Etherium investment is still up a good 40%. I’m thinking about liquidating it, taking the gain, and investing in BTC as it drops. Or I may just invest more in each of Etherium and BTC. Long term hold for me.
So this is when I would have cashed out and wait for it to get as low as possible jump back in and in 2024 the last burn will see prices around 100k.
So the lower you can get in the better
Did all the little alt coins with 8000% increases all just fall apart?
I executed this trade. Out of Etherium with about a 25% gain (should have sold earlier), used the proceeds plus another $5k to buy BTC at $36-37lk. I hope that was the bottom.
Oh I agree. It’s a long term, set and forget kind of bet, but I still like to see it do reasonably well in the interim. Since I stopped playing with margin, I have made nothing but long-term bets.
If I plan on using Bitcoin I just purchase a little more than I need at that moment but yeah everything else is just investments long term. I did suck to see thousands in losses but I know by end of year if will be in positive hopefully by thousands
Right. My expectation is that BTC will pop back into the $60k range within the next month or so, then ultimately hit around $100k by year end. If anything close to that, I’ll be very happy. Plus get long term capital gains treatment (assuming that will continue to matter under Biden).
Wasn’t BTC recent drop due to Tesla selling off a chunk of their coin to test liquidation with the intention of selling the rest soon? Seems like Elon is all DOGE and doing everything to prove it
Fuck Bitcoin. The only ones that make money anymore are those that bought in 8 years ago. They are manipulating the market to force sales of people to get out. That way the only major holders make money. But that’s my opinion. I see it falling even more. But what do I know about it. Nothing like the market. And I still think it’s a huge scam. People thinking they will make millions are the ones that are broke. I bought 5 bucks of Bitcoin to gauge the market. And to be honest, there is no gauge. It’s purely guess work.
